An inappropriate behaviour of commuters...

THE commuter inappropriate behaviour has gone beyond failing to give up seats to the elderly or letting passengers alight first. Some commuters have been seen using the handrails on buses and trains as their personal laundry lines, handing their wet shirts or smelly socks there. Others think nothing of wolfing down an entire meal or even clipping their toenails on board the bus or train. Commuters eating and drinking on the train became fodder for the second common complaint. The Public Transport Council launched a month- long graciousness campaign last Thursday, when the first five Circle Line stations opened. The campaign includes giving out prizes to well-behaved passengers.

I think it is wrong . They are inconsiderate commuter who think for themselves. They should not do that. Plus, foreigner would think Singapore is a selfish nation. We should not allow this to happen. The commuter who hang their shirts/smelly sock would cause the MRT to be smelly. Those people who eat on the bus/ MRT may dirty the place. And cause the cleaner to clean the rubbish. What a selfish person! If we dirtied their home, how would they feel?

The launching of the Public Transport Council's campaign is not enough even though there are prizes. The commuters might think it is troublesome. In my opinions, increasing the fined and jailed them might help.
